Jarin Hart, Managing Director AKA “The Clean Freak”

First order of business: Make a pot of coffee.

Favorite thing about her job: Each day is unlike the next. Jarin enjoys learning something new each day, and working closely with brilliant and talented co-workers.

Least favorite thing about her job: Scanning. Jarin hates to scan. Like seriously despises it.

As Managing Director, Jarin wears many hats. She is in charge of writing all general operating and technology grants for the FWDC. She handles all the marketing, updates and maintains all the content on the FWDC website as well as all of our social media sites. Jarin also manages the office, does the bookkeeping, and everything in between.  Ever the Libra, Jarin is the office peacemaker and helps to maintain balance. She works best under pressure, which at times can make her co-workers crazy. She loves a challenge and thrives in a creative environment. Jarin feels her greatest strengths are her ability to be resourceful and her passion for learning. She has learned much about dance, non-profits, and the performing arts in general in her 3 years with the Fort Wayne Dance Collective.

Her initial exposure to the FWDC was the first Halloween show, 7 Deadly Sins in 2009. “Alison Gerardot and I have been friends for years, and she was involved in producing a Halloween-themed dance concert with the Fort Wayne Dance Collective. I had heard of the FWDC, but had never been there and really had no idea what to expect. The show was amazing! The dancers blew me away. It was such an intimate setting, it felt like the audience was a part of the show. It was truly eerie.”

Jarin loves to sing as many things as possible to the tune of Wiz Khalifa’s, Black & Yellow. She also enjoys torturing Alison with her music choices, and asking Liz as many questions as possible. She is forever cleaning and organizing the office causing Liz to forever ask where things are. Jarin plans on overcoming her fear and taking a dance class one day. She also looks forward to the day that she will no longer need a space heater next to her hands. Oh yeah, Jarin is ALWAYS cold.
