I’d be interested to know how artists and educators in the arts are reacting to our country’s current economic state.  Have you already felt the affects? Are you preparing for a potential decrease in support? Are you “unphased”?

Countless articles have explored affects on public spending, loans, education, etc.  And although most nonprofits are taking steps to prepare (such as concentrating on free or low-cost marketing and promotion methods), those of us in the arts may be finding it increasingly difficult to assert the importance of our work to potential donors when charities and other 501c3’s are fighting for the same dollars.
