Yaro Carpenter
Yaro is an Oregon native, and has been dancing since she was a young child. Her first love was ballet, and her favorite role was Odette in Swan Lake. She trained throughout Oregon in many genres of dance and in musical theater, and lead a performing dance troupe. Her passion for performing blossomed into an even stronger passion for teaching dance.
At 17 she branched out from the studio where she taught, to open her own studio in Oregon. Her family relocated to Fort Wayne and has taught at FWDC’s on site school since 2019, and performed with FWDC’s touring company since 2018. She has a passion for teaching children, and people with diverse abilities. She holds certifications including Kidding Around Yoga, and Rhythm Works Integrative dance. If she is not dancing she loves spending time with her 4 children, homeschooling, cooking, bike riding, reading by the fire or traveling the U.S. in the family’s RV.
2020 marked her anniversary of 20 years teaching dance.
