
Improv Workshop

$15This class will use improvisation to help dancers and movers of all levels and technical backgrounds move beyond our inherited patterns. Together we will explore what it feels like to take up space, have a voice, make decisions, and be fearlessly yourself through rigor, rest, experimentation, and vulnerability. This improv workshop is on June 20, 2023 from 6:30 – 7:45 PM. Cost is $15 or bundle both workshops for $25.
About the instructor: Jordan Miller (she/her) trained at Project Ballet from 2008-2011 before moving to New York City to study at the School of American Ballet. After two years with the school, Jordan joined the New York City Ballet where she danced until 2015. Since 2015, Jordan has worked as a freelance dancer, in New York City and beyond, with renowned choreographers and companies such as Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Ballet Vero Beach, Caili Quan, Gabrielle Lamb and Julia Gleich. In 2016, Jordan co-founded konverjdans (converge/dance) a contemporary ballet company whose work celebrates the unique backgrounds and experiences of its collaborating artists. Jordan has choreographed numerous works for the company, for both stage and film, and continues to create work as a freelance choreographer. In addition to her dance career, Jordan is also a certified Pilates Instructor.
