There is an ethereal kindness to Steve Vachon. From his body language as he enters a patient’s room, to his smile, to his way of interacting with every patient, family member and co-worker, he emanates a kind and loving spirit. He is keenly aware of the emotional dynamics in the room, and gently insets himself into it with the intention of bringing peace and a quiet breath to those who need it. As he plays his guitar and sings, one can almost see a choir of angels swaying to his melodies. As for the patients, they become still and serene. And so grateful.
