Collective Expressions
Collective Expressions is an annual contemporary dance performance featuring original works by the compelling choreographic voices of FWDC’s professional Company and the Pineapple Dance Project, FWDC’s youth company. This year, FWDC is joined by the Dancing Wheels Company. Considered one of the premier arts and disabilities organizations in the United States, Dancing Wheels unites the talents of dancers both with and without disabilities.

Fireside Frights (Halloween Show)
The annual Halloween Show features original dance pieces designed to tell spooky stories, performed by FWDC’s professional artists, community members, and students studying movement arts in various FWDC programs. This year’s spin-chilling Halloween Show, “Fireside Frights,” gathers audience members around a campfire to whisper scary stories and urban legends under the light of the full moon.

MOMIX (Guest Artist Residency)
FWDC is excited to finally bring MOMIX to the Embassy Theatre after a 5-year postponement. Seamlessly blending illusion, acrobatics, magic, and whimsy, MOMIX sends audiences flying down the rabbit hole in Moses Pendleton’s newest creation, ALICE, inspired by Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice in Wonderland. Join this dazzling company on a mind-bending adventure, as Alice encounters time-honored characters including the undulating Caterpillar, a lobster quadrille, frenzied White Rabbits, a mad Queen of Hearts, and a variety of other surprises.

Choreographer’s Lab
FWDC’s annual Choreographer’s Lab is a workshop-style intensive that gives professional, creative, and technical support to local choreographers. Participating artists are provided with tools to aid them in the choreographic process including rehearsal space, dancers to work with, and the opportunity to work with professional technical designers.
When: March 15 and 16, 2025 (times TBD)

June Family Concert
This annual, sensory-friendly performance showcases the technical and creative growth of students who participate in FWDC’s on-site classes. Original works are brought to life by multiple styles of movement arts including ballet, modern, tap, belly dance, Taiko, and more.
