BOARD MEMBER

Lynne Gilmore is a dedicated leader with over 40 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, spanning social services, healthcare, education, and the arts. Her career has been marked by a passionate commitment to inclusivity and equity, particularly in her 20 years with the AWS Foundation, where she advanced programs for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. As Executive Director and later Chief Program Officer, Lynne spearheaded transformative initiatives such as the disAbilities Expo and the Foundation’s Buddy Bench project, while raising awareness of disability and inclusion through community events.

A graduate of Albion College with a BA in History and English, Lynne has also held roles in higher education, marketing, and fundraising consultancy. Her volunteerism reflects her dedication to collaboration and community betterment, serving as board chair for Alive Community Outreach, a PBS Fort Wayne board member, and past president of the Rotary Club of Fort Wayne. Lynne’s passion for service continues through initiatives like tutoring with Study Connection and leading arts and environmental projects with Friends of the Rivers. Her work embodies a lifelong commitment to creating inclusive, vibrant communities.
