FWDC conducts an annual scholarship interview for students who are interested in receiving a full or partial scholarship for on-site classes. We understand that dance can be expensive, but it is our mission to share the gift of dance, drumming and wellness classes to ALL! Please be on the lookout for updates about the next round of interviews.
If you would like to make a donation to provide a free class or scholarship to a student in need, click here to access our donation page. We believe in the transformative power of dance. It’s more than just movement—it’s a source of expression, confidence, and joy. Every dollar you donate goes directly to making these opportunities available.
Here are some suggestions for how much to donate:
- $13 (single drop-in class)
- $80 (7 weeks of classes/Summer semester tuition)
- $160 (Fall semester tuition)
- $240 (Winter/Spring semester tuition)
Scholarships are given based on need, not experience. Families may receive one scholarship per family. A scholarship is good for ONE free class per recipient for 1 full year (Fall, Winter/Spring & Summer semesters). Classes include dance, drumming and wellness classes. If you or your child do not meet the requirements below, FWDC does offer volunteer trades, customized payment plans, and other options. We will happily work with you as we want to see you moving in our beautiful studios!
To be eligible for a scholarship, students MUST:
- Complete and submit the following application form no later than the day before the interview: https://forms.gle/M6Ez8bGyrHWsvP8N9
- Attend the scholarship interview at FWDC’s on-site studio
- Have NO outstanding balance from previous classes
- Be above age 7
- Be able to attend classes regularly, preferably having no more than 3 planned absences per semester
