FWDC Weather Closure Policy

In the event of inclement weather, Fort Wayne Dance Collective will adhere to the following policies when deciding whether to cancel or postpone events and classes:

• In the event of canceling activities due to inclement weather conditions, decisions will be made and all affected parties will be notified by 9:00am. If inclement weather begins unexpectedly in the middle of the day and evening activities and classes cannot be held, decisions will be made by 4:00pm.
• FWDC will also pay close attention to the decisions of Fort Wayne Community Schools to align decisions with student activities. If FWCS has remote learning or cancels after school activities, FWDC will not hold on-site classes for the day or evening.
• Announcements regarding closures and cancellations of activities will be posted immediately to the Fort Wayne Dance Collective social media pages. All teachers will be notified by phone and students registered for affected classes will be notified by email.
