INDIANA DANCE FESTIVAL 2019

Fort Wayne Dance Collective is pleased to present the 4th Indiana Dance Festival (IDF) in downtown Fort Wayne.

The three-day community building event represents movement arts, wellness, and inclusion through classes, performances, lectures and networking opportunities. All events will be held on the Arts Campus April 12th, 13th and 14th of 2019.

The mission of IDF is to provide a diverse population with unique opportunities to experience the cultivation, presentation, discipline, and conservation of dance, movement arts, and health.

Friday, April 12th

Saturday, April 13th

10am – 10:45am Group warm-up

11am – 12:15pm Block A of classes*

12:30pm – 1:45pm Block B of classes*

2:15pm – 3:30pm Block C of classes*

3:45pm – 5pm Panel Discussion

7:30pm Indiana Dance Festival Performance

9:15pm After Party

9am – 9:45am Group warm-up

The call is now open for original live dance performance and screendance works for inclusion in the 4th Indiana Dance Festival! FWDC is seeking dance studios, colleges, companies, troupes, and independent choreographers and performers located in Indiana or neighboring states to apply.

Saturday, April 13th, 7:30pm at the Arts United Center – Performances by professional and pre-professional artists who represent Indiana. 

Performance Application Guidelines:

Live performance pieces for the Indiana Dancers Showcase and Indiana Dance Festival Performance

  • Pieces must be no more than 15 minutes  (including set-up and strike).
  • Choreographers and dancers expected to attend one day of classes during the festival.
  • Any style of dance is welcome to be submitted.
  • Studios, companies, colleges, and choreographers can submit up to eight applications. Each application must have a separate form and fee. Multiple submissions do not increase chances of being selected. Student choreography is accepted.
  • A complete submission includes application form and application fee ($15.00) per work submitted. 
  • The application fee is non-refundable.
  • All materials must be received by November 30, 2018.
