This classical dance form demands grace and precision, employing formalized steps and gestures set in intricate, flowing patterns to create expression through movement.
Youth Ballet 1 & 2: Learn basic fundamentals, terminology, positions, and movements of ballet in a fun and non-competitive environment. Students will learn through games, barre work and choreographed combinations.
Beginning Ballet (Teens & Adults): An introduction to ballet technique, terminology, and positions. Students will learn the classical art form of ballet through barre work, center, and progressive combinations.
Continuing Ballet (Teens & Adults): Practice and expand upon ballet technique and fundamentals with challenging barre and center work; jumps, turns and combinations. For students who have studied ballet for multiple years and are intermediate to advanced.
Pointe (Teens & Adults)*: This continued study of classical ballet builds strength and technique when dancing in a pointe shoe. Combinations will begin at the barre and progress to the center during the course of the semester. For beginner to intermediate pointe students.
*Students must be enrolled in weekly ballet classes to take Pointe
