Inside FWDC’s Upcoming Performance Of Blueprint

“Of what use is a dream if not a blueprint for courageous action.” – Adam West
In February of 2018, Fort Wayne Dance Collective hosted professional dance troupe, DIAVOLO: Architecture In Motion. DIAVOLO’s ground-breaking performance inspired us to take a look at the architecture around us and how it relates to movement arts.
Fort Wayne Dance Collective is a community, a home, and opportunity for growth to all who participate in our programming. It felt very natural for us to create a performance based off of the constructions of these concepts and to showcase the final product of what we have built together. We have titled this performance, Blueprint.
We invite you to join us for our annual June Family Concert, Blueprint, and let us move you through dance pieces that showcase architecture, growth, community, and home. The June Family Concert will take place at North Side High School on Saturday, June 16th, at 4pm. Performers from the FWDC onsite school, as well as FWDC outreach programs, are collaborating to present powerful vignettes.
Blueprint will have something for everyone. Whether you come for the music, the Taiko drumming, the wide variety of dance styles being performed, the impressive light and set design, or just to support a performer – you will leave with a new appreciation for the arts!
