In this collaborative workshop series by the Fort Wayne Dance Collective and Heartland Sings, participants will learn and perform iconic songs and choreography from classic Broadway shows, integrating staging and performance elements to bring these numbers to life!

April 27th: “Too Darn Hot” – Jazz
- Show: Kiss Me, Kate
- Class Breakdown:
- Warm-Up (20 mins): Jazz technique drills and vocal exercises.
- Learn Song & Choreography (60 mins)
- Polish and Perform (40 mins): High-energy performance.
- Show: West Side Story
- Class Breakdown:
- Warm-Up (20 mins): Latin-inspired dance techniques and vocal exercises focus on diction.
- Learn Song & Choreography (60 mins)
- Polish and Perform (40 mins): Fine-tune group timing.
May 18th: “All That Jazz” – Jazz
- Show: Chicago
- Class Breakdown:
- Warm-Up (20 mins): Full-body stretch and jazz and vocal exercises focusing on tone.
- Learn Song & Choreography (60 mins)
- Polish and Perform (40 mins): Attitude.
June 1st: “You Can’t Stop the Beat” – Broadway Jazz/Swing
- Show: Hairspray
- Class Breakdown:
- Warm-Up (20 mins): Cardio-based warm-up and vocal exercises to prep for this high-energy number.
June 15th: “Anything Goes” – Tap
- Show: Anything Goes
- Class Breakdown:
- Warm-Up (20 mins): Tap technique basics and vocal exercises focus on breathing.
- Learn Song & Choreography (60 mins)
- Polish and Perform (40 mins): Focusing on syncing steps with music.
