Pineapple Dance Project, FWDC’s new youth performing group, debuted their first performance at the Three Rivers Festival Arts in the Park on July 13 after only two rehearsals! We have been focusing on improvisational scores and creating a safe environment where dancers can freely express themselves. In addition to learning choreography from myself and Brittney Coughlin, they are learning to choreography from the inside out and developing their own compositions.
This is really exciting to see them learning about space, contrast and relationship. Check out their performance at Taste of the Arts on Saturday, August 24 at Noon at the Arts United Center to see the real magic come to life!
